At my Intermediate Graphic Design class, I was assigned to recreate an original book cover to a new design and concept. For this new book cover, I drew the “swirl” on Illustrator and then finalized the book publication on InDesign. During this process, I evaluated the design elements of hierarchy, negative space, tone/color, and size.

As for my intermediate studio graphic design course, it emphasized editorial design. For this class, we conducted research and reported on the history of publications and publication designers. It was essential to grasp the fundamental understanding of current industry trends to gain insights for the project work, including the design of brochures, newsletters, catalogs, and magazines.

For this museum project, I chose the ArtScience Museum in Singapore and designed the poster on InDesign. I also utilized Photoshop to mask the image of the architect into the architecture. For this project, I focused on the proposition of elements, and position of shapes to create space and hierarchy in the design.

In this project, I designed a Q&A (Question and Answer) article for a magazine with a spread (two pages next to one another). This Q&A is an interview with an individual about his/her journey in the music industry.

I focused on typography and positioning of font type for design elements. Additionally, I used a large scripted font type of the “Q&A” with a light shadow outline behind them. A combination of both san serifs and serifs defines the weight of each element. Putting into consideration hierarchy with bolding and coloring, I carefully emphasize the lending between lines.

I designed, built, and implemented a LinkedIn marketing plan to increase client engagement and improve new client acquisition by expanding on the firm’s digital presence through monthly blog posts, articles, flyers, and special events.

As the Marketing and Operations intern at Gaber Group, an estate planning firm that specializes in life insurance, I created original content for its social media posts. All these flyers were created from Canva temples and generated more engagement and click-through rates to the firm's website.

I redesigned the original ad into a digital banner format, Leaderboard, 728px x 90px, using InDesign and Photograph. I used all of the text and the image from the original ad below and translated them to the digital banner format. Then I expanded the leaderboard format to two new digital formats (Medium Rectangle, 300px x 250px, and Half Page, 300px x 600px).

I worked on an international brand, called Bob’s Beer, for my X-culture project with foreign students in my International Business Marketing class. Our objective was to act as business consultants and develop a proposal for a new entry mood in expanding the company’s business.

Bob’s Beer is a craft brewery in Hasparren, France. Our proposal was to create an integrated marketing campaign with three objectives (1) building brand awareness, (2) drive traffic to the website, and (3) expand market entry to a wider geographic region in France.

To build awareness about Bob’s Beer, we will launch a social media campaign about “What’s the Beer Character?” that will be posted on Facebook and Instagram. I created these infographics on Photoshop that contain the beer’s logo, name, color, aromas, and taste.

In the spring of 2020, I studied abroad at Singapore Management University and spent seven months living in Singapore. I took “Fundamentals of Strategic Communication” and worked with other students on a local Singaporean sushi restaurant called Wooshi. Our objective was to create a marketing campaign for Wooshi to generate brand awareness and drive sales revenue to its physical store.

Through this experience, I gained knowledge of international marketing, where I learned to create campaigns that will reach a more global audience while understanding local industries and customizing content messages.
